VSA arts of Texas - Access Gallery
Holiday Show
November 25, 2009-January 9, 2010

Eligibility & Media
VSA arts of Texas invites all artists with disabilities living in Texas to submit artwork to this exhibition. There is no entry fee and 2D and 3D works in all media are eligible, including CDs, literary works, visual art, and crafts. This is a holiday show so we are looking for smaller gift items or pieces with a range of prices for shoppers. Artwork will be available to the purchaser upon sale, so items that can be restocked are preferred.
Access Gallery is at the corner of 37th and Guadalupe, at the front of the famous ?37th Street Lights? display in Austin, TX. Gallery hours will be extended into the evenings (with artist volunteer help) to capture this audience.
Entries
Please submit the entry form with photos of samples of your work on CD, by email, or in print. The postmark deadline for entry is Friday, October 30, 2009. Those selected will be notified by Tuesday, November 10, 2009 and must ship or deliver artwork to arrive by Monday, November 23, 2009. If shipped, artists will pay for shipping to the Gallery and VSA arts of Texas will pay return shipping.
Exhibition
The exhibit will open on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 and close Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Access Gallery, 3701 Guadalupe, Suite 103, Austin, TX 78705. Special events will be organized at the gallery based on the ?37th Street Lights? activity.
Terms
An entry to this exhibit constitutes full agreement on the part of the artist to all conditions outlined in this call for entries.
* Work must be strongly framed and wired ready for hanging or neatly packaged and ready for sale.
* No fragile or precious materials that cannot withstand normal handling and storage will be accepted.
* The Exhibit Committee will have final authority to define what constitutes an acceptable entry.
Sales
A commission of 20% will be charged of all sales directly from the exhibition.
